Herb Durbin
Herb Durbin is a retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer Three with 20 years of service. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and a Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems.
During his military career, Herb served as a Maintenance Officer and Program Systems Manager, overseeing communications, air defense, and major hardware and software development programs, including management of a $3 million budget. After retirement, he worked as a Systems Engineer supporting worldwide Air Force logistics systems with a $2.5 million program budget.
Herb has extensive leadership and financial experience. He served as Treasurer and Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council 1580 and as Treasurer and Commander of American Legion Post 439 in Highland, Illinois. In Scottsdale, he served two years as Treasurer and currently serves as President of his homeowners’ association.
At American Legion Post 44, Herb has served as Adjutant for the past two years and is honored to serve as Finance Officer. He hopes to streamline Post finances and strengthen cooperation among the American Legion Family—Post 44, Sons of the American Legion Squadron 44, American Legion Riders Chapter 44, and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 44.
